Maybe I'll stop by my old farm on the way, where the Thalmor killed my father Vulgruff thought.

Eradrann

"yes Vulgruff once we are all ready we should depart for Ivarstead"

Eradrann thought to himself, this nord is eager perhaps more than he should be, i wonder what his plans are, i should keep a close eye on him

"Well i'm setting off. Eradrann, don't look so worried I won't get into any trouble. You are welcome to join me, I just need to visit where I grew up, where my father passed." Vulgruff smiled and turned towards the city gates. He then looked back and said, "Its on the way to Ivarstead, about halfway there. There probably won't be much left though."

Eradrann

Eradrann did not reply to Seta straight away aas he did not know how to at first but after his news from Brynyolf, everything had become almost clear, so he turned to Seta and said

"im sorry i did not answer straight away i was too focused on finding my brother, but now my head is more clear i can tell you what you want to know, i chose no side in the civil war, neither could keep my trust i had lost faith in Titus no the empire and Ulfic's cause was just but he was no more than a war leader he could not be high king, as for why i am in skyrim, well that is a long story, but to cut it short after my brother and i were taken from Valenwood i was dumped here, and he in Akavir when the dominion launched war on the empire, i became a scout for the Legion and fought many battles, but lost heart after the retaking of the city it was not the septim empire that my family grew up with, so i retired here to wait for my brother's return as i knew one day he would."

Seta
-------------------
Seta walks calmly with the man listening to him as he speaks slowly nodding along to what he says. Pausing she looks at him " you do not seem like the rest of the Legion people i met before. Besides I believed in Ulfric and his cause but at the same time I did not want to fight in any war. I just want to live in peace you know? But my healing skills were needed so I joined. Along with my brothers, I still don't know what happened to my older brother. What happened to your brother?"

Looking around she sighs" nothing has changed since I left 6 years ago. What do we need to find here Eradrann? Perhaps my folks might know where to find it."

Ivarstead, after a long road.

Post  james.steelhaven on Mon Apr 08, 2013 5:11 pm

Jurgen:

*Well, this trip didn't turn out so well. After leaving Falkreath and being chased out of Helgen by bandits, which killed his horse, the long hard march over the pass near Riverwood took longer than expected. I haven't been to Ivarstead since me and Brunwulf came here long before the troubles started. This Inn was looking very welcoming indeed, since the long march from Falkreath. Now for a warm bed, good food, strong drink, and the company of questionable women. Of which there seems to be a distinct lack of. Wonderful.*

Eradrann

After walking and talking with Seta Eradrann realised she was not the typical nord he had become accustomed to in skyrim, she seems more like those of Bruma or the ones that lived in the Imperial city, before the war

"i am probably not like most because few Bosmer served in the Legion, many of us still remeber the way the Empire has treated us over the centuries, in relation to my brother after we were seperated i had no contact with him, he may not even be the same person he was all those years ago, fortunately, we have all the information we need from here and we are soon leaving for Ivarstead once everyone is ready of course, thank you however for your kind offer."

[Vulgruff]

Vulgruff marked the location of his old home on Eradann's map and proceeded out of Riften. He mounted his horse and made way for his farm. When he arrived there, it was still a burnt ruin, but had gained bandit squatters. They attacked him, and in a flurry of blades it was over. Three dead bandits lay in the front garden of his old home.

He proceeded through the rubble of where he once lived. So many memorieshe thought, So much pain Vulgruff kicked over some rubble, where he found the entrance to his father's cellar. The lock was still intact. "The Thalmor must not have saw it..." vulgruff whispered to himself. He smashed the lock and climbed inside.

In the cellar he found his fathers armor resting on a display, and his Akavir Katana mounted on the wall above it. Tied to the Hilt of the blade was a note. Vulgruff tore it off and read it.

My son Vulgruff, this is a gift for you when you come of age. You know of my service to the blades, and how much this sword and armor has meant to me. I hope it serves you as well as it served me. Your Father, Faldor Snow-Bear.

A single tear fell from Vulgruff's eye. He grabbed the weapons and armor and headed back upstairs.

Nodding Seta smiles" We should find the other Nord now, Yes? " walking with him she looks to him out of the corner of her eyes. Still ,she slips her hand into her sleeve unconsciously holding the hilt of the dagger deep in thought. Looking to him she nods " I am sorry about your brother by the way. But we should be on our way. Dont want to keep your brother and the other nord busy, right?"

Vulgruff

Vulgruff was packing his fathers armor and sword onto his horse. All that was left was the helmet. Vulgruff looked at it, and saw his father's face inside it. He fell no his knees, with a tears rolling down his face.

Seta, shrugs and walks to the house ahead of the others, coming upon the four bandits. She kneels and close's their eyes chanting a nord prayer. Standing she Draws her dagger and notices the man. As he falls to his knees Seta rush's over to him kneeling. Seeing the tears she embrace's him as a mother would do to a son "It is okay Vulgruff, you do not need to cry any longer. Shhhh" In an attempt to stop him from crying, Seta carefully attempts to take the helmet from his grasp. If she did take she would put it next to her alongside her dagger.

"This.... this is where the Thalmor came in the night and killed my father. He died trying to make an opportunity for my mother and I to escape..." Vulgruff stood up and wiped his face, noticing the Imperial and Bosmer getting closer. I can't let them see me like this.... he thought. "Thank you Seta, but I'll be fine. This is just where my childhood ended. My mother and I split ways, she made for Falkreath and I for Riften." He packed the Blades helmet onto his horse, then grabbed the Akavir Katana and slung it over his shoulder. "This is why I joined the Stormcloaks. How could I trust an Empire that lets Thalmor freely travel through its land murdering its war veterans? 'Tis no matter now. We have a job to do" and with that he managed to muster a smile. "But again, thank you Seta."

As Eradrann was walking towards Ivarstead he noticed Vulgruff and Seta talking, he beckoned them over and they carried on their way to Ivarstead, once there they all entered the Inn to get some rest and gather some more information

Seta nods at the man" I am sorry for your lose. I really am, your father sounds like a good man." Looking at the bandits bodies she returns her gaze to him" are you hurt vulgruff?" Standing seta sheaths the dagger in her sleeve. Walking to the others she gives the two a small smile as she stands next to them.

Drelayn

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drelayn watched the mountainous terrain of the Reach roll past as the carriage pressed onwards. He had been told to return to the East Empire Company warehouse near Solitude after he had escorted one of the Company's merchants to Markarth. He saw the glistening Karth River on his right, and wondered why the Nords hadn't utilised it for transport. 'Trust the Nords to overlook that', Drelayn thought, shaking his head. The carriage had to pass through part of the Whiterun Hold, which would delay him, but this route would give Drelayn the oppurtunity to stop off at Dragon's Bridge. He had heard that the Penitus Oculatus in Skyrim were based there. 'Maybe I'll bump into Lucius.' he thought.

"What's this about, then?" He glanced at the front door, missing all the fun in the seconds it took for the other group to leave.

"Did I miss something exciting, Wilhelm?"

Eradrann

The storm winds blew, he was not deterred, the wolfs howled, he was not deterred, the trolls raged, he was not deterred, Eradrann would reach his brother and no man, beast or god would stop him.

As Eradrann reached the final steps to High Hrothgar, he could make out a figure through the blinding snow veil with all the energy he could muster while still charging forward he yelled

"Agarond"

The figure rose from its knelt position and turned to face Eradrann, the snow veil fell and the winds calmed all went silent but for the words of two long lost brothers

"Agarond, is that you."

-----------

Agarond

"Dear Brother do my eyes deceive me, after all this time is it truly you."

----------

Eradrann

"yes, brother it is me, know tell me what lunacy has gripped your mind to bring you to the grey beards?"

---------

Agarond

"thank the gods, i can not tell you everything yet, but what i will reveal everything if you help me now, help me petition to the grey beards to meet their leader, he and i have much to discuss"

Vulgruff

Vulgruff looked as Eradrann the others started to sprint up the mountain. There in a hurry. Although I was too when I first climbed the steps..... Vulgruff kept close behing Eradrann the whole climb until he stopped. While the snow veiled most of him, Vulgruff had gotten used to seeing through snow, and could clearly see Eradrann was speaking with his brother

"I'll help" Vulgruff said, "I've met Arngier before. I promise you I can get us in." With that statement Vulgruff walked to the entrance to High Hrothgar, pounded on the door and yelled, "Arngier, let us in! It's Vulgruff!"

What mighty Imperial, can't climb a mountain without getting tired? Vulgruff thought to himself. "Lucius, don't be in such a hurry, take a rest before trekking back down, you look like you could use it."

"Eradrann, you have found your brother. I mean not to interrupt the reunion but our quest ends here and so will our time together. I expect the others to stay with you once they arrive for I feel your quest has only begun. I must ask for my reward now, as we agreed. Your brother has been found, after all." Lucius took heavy pauses as to regain his breath.

What mighty Imperial, can't climb a mountain without getting tired? Vulgruff thought to himself. "Lucius, don't be in such a hurry, take a rest before trekking back down, you look like you could use it."
"No need, I may have ran the way up here but that doesn't mean I'm in any rush to get back down." He then turned to address Eradrann. "Gold will suffice, but anything you are willing to pay will do."
